Culture experience in different countries

I might enjoy the view and scenery in other countries, and travel to other different places to explore different lifestyle. I do not want to just watch it from the television, though it also helps me to understand more.

I like to share my experience on my travel log, especially on culture part, you know, it's different in different countries, try to respect it, although you might not agree with that. 

Let's see on my trip to Japan. 

Top 10 from my observation (you might have different views): 

1. They are polite and smiley face when come to service, best service I ever experienced

2. They label price on their selling products, i find it easy for us to think if we would like to buy it or not

3. Their awesome cashier machine! Everywhere! Japan coins are more common. I don't use coin bag since i was ten, but then I was thinking to buy one at that time. Oh, so what is so awesome? When the cashier enters the amount I give, the balance of coins will drop from that machine. Go to google it, it really fun.

4. They have clean and advanced toilet. It's free of charge. Not to say i said it free, I have to pay (at some places in Penang), so it is cool to have it free of charge and most important is clean

5. They have tiny little house/room. Penang house is not big as well, but then after i stay there for one and half weeks, I think my room is bigger than the hotel room in Japan.

6. Girls are most likely to have fringe, their style. I myself do not have fringe (probably because of K-style), so it is quite refreshing to see them having fringe.

7. They are super helpful even they do not understand our language. Sometimes I feel like they have their guts on "We can do it".

8. They have a lot of job opportunities. I saw the shopping mall open space parking lots, there have few guards to guide the car in the parking lots. They bow and use their hand gesture to guide them in. Just wonder they might higher pay or more benefits.

9. Awesome selling places. They own whole block to sell something, eg. clothes, electronics, MUJI, etc.

10. Top 3 products. How it works? It happens most of their shops label Top-seller number 1,2, and 3 products. It is kinda clear to attract us go for it.

Real life stuff

How happy to away from your real life and be anonymous for 9 days? Yes, I can tell it now. 

I just came back from Japan for three days and I feel the real life is approaching me. How you feel uncomfortable with (work, people, lifestyle, etc) and no one is being with you to smooth all the thorns.

I want my life to be more lively, more happening and more like myself. Think wisely from now on, not to regret, you know, life no take two. You only live once at age 18, 19, 20......

Angel & Mortal

2 rounds games for 2014 and 2015. 

Round 1. Last Christmas. 

I am mortal and also Angel. I am mortal and also Angel. I have to treat my mortal good and also my angel will be nice to me. You have to do it secretly so that your mortal won’t know it. Leave some marks for them to guess. I buy her cookies, chocolate milks, etc and leave a small note for her to guess. On the other hand, I need to guess who is my angel. My angel is actually on holiday for the first week, so I guess so who is she. I don’t get any hint for the first week. Pretzel, notes, sandwich.. Lot of sweet stuff, but I know her from her first act. Narrowing my scope automatically.

At last, I need to prepare my gift to my Angel, looking for her and give to her.

And I got my gift from my mortal.

Round 2 – Valentine special

I was back from my Bangkok shopping trip and need to involved it. Different story line a lil bit, I have to treat my mortal good for a week and angel, coming down from heaven to do her job to treat me good. At the end, I need to buy gift to mortal, and tell him Happy Valentine Day. Through it is one way direction, everything is to mortal, I also buy a gift for my hardworking Angel. My angel is angel. I bet she might not know her mortal look like. Her long grandma stories every day are just too much compared to my work to my mortal (shame for myself). I am not expecting things like this. She must be sent by God to fill my this year Valentine. LOL.

My angel asks me to look for her on my gift. Everyone (angel) supposed to look for their mortal, but I have turn the way back.

Samcheongdong, Seoul

3rd Nov, 2014

Second day in Seoul, taking my blank mind away. Before we fly to Seoul, Samcheongdong is not in my plan. We are walking around the neighbourhood in Jongno-gu, just realized everywhere is linked together. 

Start to walk from our Airbnb stay in Jongno-gu, heading to Samcheongdong for steamboat (年糕起司部隊鍋). This restaurant is famous with their steamboat. Mashisoyo~~

To know:
1. you need to line up in front of their restaurant
2. have Chinese menu
3. portion has to be 2 persons and above. 
4. free flow water
5. the restaurant is small
6. the restaurant is slightly inside the alley

Review: I dream to eat again. So yummy and thumb uppp.

After this, we walked around neighbourhood in Samcheongdong, and it is my best place among Seoul to walk around. It's different from Myeongdong, it is cozy, slightly uphill and shopping spree.

We ended up our afternoon in wrong way in Bukchon Village. So follow the map next time.

LED white flowers in Seoul

Incredible display of more than 21,000 LED white flowers by Omega Watches brand on 2014 in DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza), attracting visitors and locals to check out the scene.

It opens to public last November for a period of time, when I visited Seoul. And now there is a news that they re-open on 18th Apr 2015 till whole year. I wish i could be there again. :)

The flower is on Rooftop of DDP. (Story behind: Everyone shares the flowers in DDP, but not telling the exact place, so we went there and see nothing for the first round, and after that we found out it is an active hashtag like few mins ago. So we decided to go back DDP and ask again the guard. He told us it was on rooftop. Walk up the stairs) 

P/s: Don't miss it. It's worth to pay a visit. 

Transport - My first car

Officially, my little Kancil decided to leave me. It was old enough, just younger than me like 5 years old.

Now, either I need to have a new car, or I need to have a driver to drive me to work. :)

The girl I like.

Daughter of Lee Tablo and Kang Hye-jung. Age 5 this year. How am I so obsessed to her?

1. I started to watch Korean show 'The Return of Superman' March which initially 4 daddys and 5 kids. And now it is my favorite show among the Korean show.

2. She says sweet things and loves her family very well. Really cuteness overload all over. 

3. She raps like his dad. No way to say, she is too cute to know or do rap on her own. 

4. She likes animal. Afterall I am the opposite one. Brave will apply here. 

5. She act normal when her dad is acting childish. Wow, apparently she knows what her dad is. Not for all, but most of the kids are thinking of their parents to be prefect to them, and childish is not acceptable. 

6. THE MOST point to think of: She is surrounding with superstars (YG entertainment stars, i.e. Big Bang). And they love her. 

Why I write this? When I have 'lim teh' or 'yamcha' session, some of my friends are not understand that (the reason behind is the kids from the other family in the show is really cuttteeeeeee, I admit and really overload) why I like Haru. Here are the reasons.

One Day

A book for romantic, a movie for tears. By David Nicholls. I bought this book from Borders two years ago before the movie is shown. I read few chapters back last year, watch the movie when shown, and continue reading after this. Finally I finish reading it. 

One day fate is romantic, yet pathetic. How are we going to know what happen next? I'm gonna 30 in next 10 years. What you do now you might not doing in your 30s. Carrying a baby? According to the story line, they waited for twenty years. Both of them go on different direction of their life, for almost twenty years. At that time, they get together when Dexter admits his feelings to her in Paris, and Emma chooses him finally.

Anyway, Emma dies in a bike accident. For more details, you can read from the book. :D

Beauty of 90's: We are in smart world now, everything starts with E. We are not going to write love letter in papers anymore, perhaps you can write a E-love letter. Awesome, right? Save cost and save spaces to keep the letters. ;)

Cheese

Cheese cake happens to come into my life very frequent recently. I go to buy cheese cakes for my dessert or maybe my dinner time(I skipped dinner). Mum just realized me eating cakes instead of drinking her soup. (pity her). By the way, the price for Secret Recipe cakes from RM5.60 per slice becomes RM7.50 per slice. I think like 6-7 years ago. Yea, me, getting OLDER.

2012

Jan 2012 - Last year, today. It was so happening and happy to be back from study and starting working in new environment. I was glad and appreciate everything that has happened to me. Chinese New Year is around the corner and my sister and bro-in-law were back from US for their wedding. The atmosphere was full of hearts and love.

My very first time to have speech. I totally not ready. You know, whose idea was that?

Become bridemaid for the very first time as well. Become one of the models on Victor Hew's photos.

Feb 2012 - Reunion dinner with my colleagues in Ming Garden. Of course, it was my first meeting in this company.

April 2012 - Bestie meeting. We had mani-padicure session, luxurious meal for once of our meeting.

I went to Pulau Payar for snorkeling. I do not know how to swim and it took me like years to swim. So, I took the initiative to learn swimming. I would say i have learned and thanks for my partner on that trip. muakkx! :)

May 2012 - I spent my holiday to study at home for my first professional paper. It took away my leisure time, but it worth the price. Don't worry, I'm not going to turn back. I was doing a right thing, it won't harm in any way, except for the bloody fees!

June 2012 - Took my first paper. Pray hard!

July 2012 - Hiking with buddies. I need some new challenge, new route maybe. A short trip to Cameron Highlands.

August 2012 - Hiking again on my birthday. I was not fancy for a birthday party, like i can just forget today. What I wish for has never come true, take action is more accurate.
 

September 2012 - My first ever trip to Singapore alone. It was different from going trip with others. I was like lost sheep looking for the way to have some holiday. Luckily, friends were there to help me. I love them!

Another first time Star walked around Heritage area with LeeYen. She is totally my best companion to do all stuff like this. I super love you! :)

November 2012 - Go to Fun run on Penang Bridge at 6.30am with cousin and another bestie. It was awesome experience.

December 2012 - Holiday on Christmas season. A week break to re-energize myself. Watched all the missed drama and movies. Met some friends, clear stuff. Good news! The sister is coming back to town for Chinese New year!! Hurray!!! I was so happy for her. I miss her so much..xoxo

Starting 2013, today. I want something exciting me. :D

You're the best in our heart

After the Final match for Badminton, we feel bad and I just pack my bag come home silently. Singing while driving with bitter sound. We know they were not about Baskin Robin or any surprise announcement for a holiday, it is about losing a game for Dato Lee Chong Wei.

When I reached home, my parents and I have a little discussion and everyone knows it is about the luck. You are doing VERY best for this game. Malaysian knows it and everyone as well. Your spirit is still there.

After unpack my bag, I switched on my laptop and updated myself for the news. I saw the message left on Twitter,

You won! You just won our heart. We are not asking to bring a gold back, we just wish to get a gold. It's okay for us to have a silver too :)

It's okay for you to feel disappointment but we are here to support you. Facebook float with all the supports. ♥
 
P/S: Somehow Baskin Robin is making a good marketing strategy when everytime I told my peers about this. LOL :P

Jenny

This story starts at aged 9 of me. My aunts decided to let me attend tuition class for English. It happened smoothly as teacher is good and everyone is friendly. Mr & Mrs Tan are my English tuition teacher for my entire primary and secondary school life. I probably feel embarrass of my half-hanging English. Anyway, here comes the textbook that is all the way from US that I cannot remember the name. One day, we were practicing a conversation between my classmates from the textbook. There were 3 persons conversation: Tina, Tom and Jenny. I was assigned to become Jenny at the first place. Somehow I feel myself simple-minded. I just decided to choose between Tina and Jenny as my nickname. LOL!

After thinking Tina is like ‘tin na’(cane) in Hokkien, so I decided my nickname, Jenny. I proudly told my teammates in volleyball team in primary school. My best friend like this name and she also have this name for hers. We are two Jennies. Again, after we told others of our names, someone just pop out and we was told that one of the canteen aunties also named Jenny. This made me think I probably need to have unique nickname.

After many years, I just got my name as Hui Yin. Somehow the name is quite common, you can search a lot of Hui Yin, Hui Ying, Hooi Yin,etc in the world. I got myself nicknames for my whole life time, xx,xx,xxxx, whatever it is. Yet, I still don’t stick with them. I still introduce myself, Hui Yin. It is just easy to remember when you have an English nickname, Luke, Jason, Serina, etc.

I still have different tone of Hui Yin（慧殷）from others calling me, yet I don’t insist them to change. As long as they remember. J

I found my facebook have one Jenny and one Jennifer. It recalls back the memories. J

P/S: I still secretly find nicknames for myself until now, I think I still continue it. :P 

July is coming

June is over in 14-hour time. July is coming.
I am excited with everything going to happen. Believe me! It shows no much difference but I still feel it in different way. :D
Laugh as much as you can, just because we are young? Quoted by unknown friend. This is truth. Do whatever you can when you are young. Don't stop learning and move forward!

Secondly, work out for fitting in those dresses. It's mega sales right now.  *wink*

Somehow when I look at first sight, I do want to believe this is real. I mean.. dogs and cats do yoga. However, I am still a logic person. I looked into the news that they spend time to comfort them and do some computer software to make the difficult yoga poses become real.
